Bocas del Toro, paradise in Panama

Panama, known mainly for its canal, which joins the Caribbean Sea to the Pacific Ocean, is the country with the highest economic growth in Latin America. Its political and economic stability, together with its usage of the American dollar as its national currency makes it one of the best options available in terms of investment, residence and tourism.
Panama offers a wide range of diverse destinations which visitors fall in love with and many end up regarding this country as the ideal place to live in. The use of both Spanish and English, the official policies favourable towards obtaining residence permits and the absence of natural disasters such as hurricanes are the main reasons for this, as well as the perfect balance that exists between the tropical climate of its beaches and the cooler temperatures of the mountain areas, just hours away.

Bocas del toro

Bocas del Toro, one of the best destinations for ecotourism in Panama, a Unesco World Heritage Site and one of the most biologically diverse places on the planet, has some of the most extensive rainforests in Latin America.
It is considered the most touristic province of the isthmus, mainly because of its many areas of natural beauty and its tranquility, above all in the insular part which consists of 9 big islands, 52 cays and thousands of isles, all of which constitute an archipelago known as the Galapagos islands of the 21st century or the Caribbean Galapagos islands. As the second-least populated province of the country (after Darién), it enjoys an ideal balance between development and natural beauty. No other destination in Panama offers more adventure than Bocas del Toro.

Isla Colón

Isla Colón is the most populated island in the Bocas del Toro archipelago and is the provincial capital. Most of the hotels, restaurants, bars, tour operators and other businesses are located in ‘Bocas Town’, as is the Bocas del Toro International Airport.
Isla Colón is where most of the visitors wanting to explore other islands in the province embark. As the core centre of the archipelago, it caters for its growing community of inhabitants, both national and foreign residents, as well as the continuous flow of tourists that visit the area in search of nature, adventure or the best surf spots.

Playa Bluff, the pearl of the archipelago

Bluff Beach is the biggest and best virgin beach on the island, with areas where you can swim in calm waters, such as for example ‘La Piscina’ (‘The Swimming Pool’). It is a Municipal Nature Reserve due to its being a nesting area for three different sea turtle species – Green, Hawksbill and Leatherback.
The Bluff Beach community is made up of foreign residents and small ecolodges, while the only local inhabitants live in a small community on the first part of the beach. Some of them are in charge of surveying the beach during the nesting season of the sea turtles.

In just one minute, you can reach the natural spectacle of the rainforest from the 4 km stretch of virgin beach
